The Victoria College Adult Education Program provides free educational services to undereducated adults.
Services include instruction in reading, language, and math for the purpose of preparing for the GED
exam, college entry, or personal enrichment and English language classes for non-English speakers.
Education services may be provided by classroom instruction or through the Distance Learning component
where student receive study packets with some instructional support. The Adult Education Program also
offers free, GED practice tests to determine test readiness. Having a high school diploma or GED does
not prohibit articipation in this program.
The standard procedure for enrollment at the Adult Education Center in Victoria is to complete an application
with demographic and contact information, followed by an assessment to determine functioning skill level, and finally an advising session with an administrative staff member to develop an education plan.
The Adult Education Program provides services in the surrounding counties of Calhoun, DeWitt, Goliad, Jackson, and Lavaca Counties. Call for information about specific services in these counties.
